One of our younger members Reece joined the club in the year 2008; he started off trolling with his dad and grandad learning the tricks of the trade from a young age. He took a keen interest in fly fishing from the age of 12. Reece went from practicing in his garden to fly fishing on the lake throughout the month of May!
Reece progressed from there and competed in the youth qualifiers in Killarney and finished strong. He got his first Irish cap and a gold medal from the youth international in Killarney.
Reece also qualified for his second cap in wales and was chosen as vice-captain of the Irish team! Although finishing fourth it was a great experience for one of our youth anglers!
